Master’s degree in psychology. Currently registered as a Psychology Associate in the state of Maryland.

LICENSED GRADUATE PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR (LGPC) (MARYLAND)

Hold a master’s degree (minimum of 60 credits) or a doctoral degree (minimum of 90 credits) in a professional counseling or related field from an accredited educational institution approved by the Board. Licensed as an LGPC in the state of Maryland.

Phoenix Wellness Services LLC primarily works with adolescents and adults providing therapy and evaluation services in a culturally inclusive environment. We offer  educational services (e.g., clinician training) and a dedication to addressing social justice issues (e.g., advocacy) for individuals from marginalized/underrepresented communities. Phoenix Wellness Services LLC aims to provide services that are LGBTQIA+ inclusive and are committed to supporting the BIPOC community. We work with clients of all ages, genders, religions, gender identities/expressions, economic backgrounds, and ability status.

 

What We Offer

(Earn Continuing Education Credits/APA Approved Sponsor)

  • Opportunity to provide culturally competent and inclusive services to adolescents and adults from various communities/backgrounds

  • Options to provide services to clients in office, remotely (teletherapy), and/or hybrid

  • Client screening/referrals, along with flexibility related to scheduling and client caseload.

 

Clinician Duties

  • Ability to provide culturally sensitive therapy services (under supervision) for individuals, couples, and groups

  • Work with client and supervisor to determine diagnosis and create a collaborative treatment plan

  • Complete and submit client documentation in electronic medical records in a timely manner (e.g., preliminary intake, progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries, etc.).

  • Assisting clients with managing barriers to committing to therapy, including financial limitations, physical barriers (e.g., transportation), and balancing seeking care versus stigmas related to mental health/therapy

  • Maintain and provide confirmation of liability insurance (minimum amount of coverage is $1,000,000/$3,000,000)

  • Evening and/or weekend availability is a plus
