About the event

Daniel Schneider, PsyD, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at MedStar Washington Hospital Center located in Washington, DC. Dr. Schneider is an assistant professor of psychiatry and surgery at Georgetown University School of Medicine. Dr. Schneider specializes in addressing psychosocial factors within the scope of integrative care on the burn team’s pre- and post-operative surgical patients involving major burn injuries, in addition to necrotizing acute soft tissue infections (NASTI), Hidradenitis, Stevens Johnson Syndrome (SJS), toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) and other severe dermatological conditions since June of 2019. He is a key contributor on the Burn Team facilitating innovative strategies for the integration of medical and behavioral health. He provides early assessment and therapeutic interventions to individuals and their families in both the acute inpatient hospitalization setting and outpatient burn clinic.
